Starting many years ago weeding in his dad’s garden, Stephen has loved plants, yes even weeds, since then. With over 25 years in the plant industry, over 10 years with Connon Nurseries and a diploma from Niagara Parks School of Horticulture, his keen interest in plants and desire to share that with people has helped many gardeners over the years.   

DEBB POOLE
STORE SUPERVISOR

Debb has been playing with perennials in her own garden and in other peoples gardens since age 16. For well over 10 years, at Connon Nurseries in Trenton, Debb has been involved in the perennial department caring for plants and leading seminars and workshops. With close to 20 years in the industry Debb offers a wealth of knowledge and experience. 

DAN CLOST
YARD SUPERVISOR, TRADE SALES

A double grad from Guelph in agriculture and horticulture, Dan has been professionally involved in the green industry for over 20 years; close to 10 at Connon's.  He most enjoys helping folks to walk softly on this good earth.  A garden communicator, with over 500 gardening columns and articles published, Dan is at home with Connon Nurseries' respect and love for plants.

DEBBIE RHODES
ADMINISTRATION

With 15 years of experience in the horticultural industry, from plant production to administration, and a great love of gardening, Debbie has developed a “Try it and see if it works” approach, which has widened her knowledge and gardening experiences. Good customer service is a very important goal, as well as an organized approach to office work. The family boat is apply named “Perennial Fun”

DEBBIE (Dee) RIX
STORE SUPERVISOR

Dee has been in the retail trade for 25 years, the last 5 in retail gardening. She has extensive professional experience with plant propagation and care. As an avid home gardener on her country property, Dee’s first hand expertise enables her to relate well with her customers. Ask for Dee when you need creative ideas and advice.

JANINE TREANOR
WHOLESALE SALES

Janine is starting her second year at Connon Nurseries and is a graduate from Kentville Community College in Kentville Nova Scotia as a Landscape Technician. Janine has an organic naturalistic approach to gardening and has never found a plant she didn't like. She spent 8 years as a gardener at Oaklawn Farm Zoo in Nova Scotia, developing shrub and perennial beds and planting annual seasonal displays. With a passion for plants and 30 years of experience in customer service, Janine can help with your plant needs, selection and care.
